As of November 1st at midnight, the Fall 2015 Submission Period has officially ended. Thank you to each and every contributor to this semester’s magazine. Volition appreciates your contributions. If you are still interested in submitting your work to the magazine — short stories, screenplays, prose, poetry, art, and photography — keep it prepared and on-hand for the Spring 2016 Submission Period which will begin late January and end late March.

We’re approaching the final stretch to our Fall 2015 submission deadline — November 1st is almost here! Don’t just think about submitting; just do it! Our next Open Mic Night is coming up soon! We’re excited to partner with Music Productions Club of GMU this time around! Come to the Bistro at 7 pm on Thursday, October 22nd for free pizza and entertainment, and possibly perform your own creative work!

First Open Mic Night of the Fall semester is coming up this Friday! Come to the JC Bistro at 7 pm to share your writing, music or other talent, plus to have some free pizza and refreshments!

Volition Open Mic Nights in the new semester will be held on Friday, September 18th and Thursday, October 22nd! Stay tuned for more information on other events, and our Fall 2015 submission deadline.

Our next Open Mic Night is on March 26th at 7 pm! Come to the JC Bistro to share your poetry or play some music, and to have some free pizza and soda. This time we’ll be collaborating with the Undergraduate English Society (UES) to promote the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health and we will be accepting cash donations.

Get ready for our first Open Mic of the semester coming up next Friday, February 27th from 7 to 9 pm at the JC Bistro! There will be free pizza and refreshments and great musical and literary talent, so come to share your work or just to enjoy the free entertainment!

Welcome back, Patriots! We hope you had a wonderful winter break full of holiday cheer, friends, and family.
